Candle Container Ideas

Candle Container Tips

  • Be sure to choose containers that can handle the temperature that you will be heating your wax to. Glass, ceramic, terra cotta and metal containers tend to work the best. Don't try to use plastic containers.
  • Try to select containers that aren't too narrow. When burning very narrow container candles, the sides of the container will blacken. The mouth of your container should be at least 2-3 inches.
  • When using breakable containers, be sure to preheat your container with hot water before pouring the wax in.
  • Keep an eye out for unique candle containers in unexpected places. Yard sales and flea markets are often excellent sources for inexpensive candle containers.
  • Most Popular Container Candles

Candles in tins are very popular and very easy to make! The best part is that you really only have to worry about what the top looks like and not the sides.

Jar candles are quickly becoming the most popular types of container candles!
