Body Butter Cream

This body butter recipe is great for conditioning skin in the winter. A little body butter will turn rough elbows and knees silky smooth. (Visitor Comment - Body butter is also excellent for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy.)

Supply List

  • 6 oz of shea, mango, or almond butter
  • 1 oz cocoa butter
  • 1 oz beeswax
  • Fragrance oil if desired scent
  • Mica if desired for color

Equipment

  • Double Boiler
  • Container to hold the butter when you're finished

Instructions

  1. Add the beeswax in your double boiler and melt completely.
  2. Add the cocoa butter to the double boiler and melt completely. Stir occasionally.
  3. Add the shea, mango, or almond butter and melt completely. Stir occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat. Add mica if desired and stir throughly.
  5. Add fragrance oil if desired and stir throughly.
  6. Pour the mixture into your container(s) and allow to cool.
