Supply List

  • About 5 ounces white soap bases (We used a coconut oil soap base.)
  • 1 tsp shea butter
  • 1 tsp cocoa butter
  • Yellow liquid soap dye
  • Fragrance of your choices (We like to use warm homebaked scents for these bars)

Equipment

  • 4 ounce rectangle soap mold
  • Decorative flower soap mold
  • Microwave or double boiler

Instructions

  1. Follow the melting instructions for basic pour and melt soap to melt your soap base.
  2. Add the shea butter and cocoa butter and melt throughly
  3. Add your fragrance.
  4. If you'd like your flower to be white, fill your flower mold. If you'd prefer your rectangular bar to be white, fill your rectangular mold.
  5. Add several drops of yellow dye to the remaining soap. You may need to reheat the soap slightly if it has cooled.
  6. Fill your other mold but be sure to save a little wax to attach your flower to your rectangular bar.
  7. When your bars have fully hardened, remove them from the molds. If they don't come out easily, you can place the molds in the fridge for 10 minutes and try again.
  8. Reheat your remaining soap and dribble a littel onto your rectangular bar and attach the flower to your bar and allow to cool throughly.
