Calendula Shea Soap

Calendula petals are a wonderful addition to soaps because of the fact that they hold their beautiful golden color. In addition, they add a nice texture to your soaps. Try our recipe below!

Supply List

  • 1/2 lb Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base
  • 1/8 Cup Dried Calendula Petals (small handful)
  • 1 tsp Shea Butter
  • Soap Safe Fragrance (if desired)

Equipment

  • Double boiler (or a Microwave)
  • Soap mold

Instructions

  1. Follow the melting instructions for basic pour and melt soap to melt your soap base.
  2. Remove your melted soap base from the heat. Add up to .5 oz fragrance per pound of soap base. Stir throughly.
  3. Stir in your shea butter and calendula petals.
  4. Slowly pour the soap base into your mold.
  5. When your soaps have cooled completely carefully remove them from the mold. You may need to press against the back side of the mold gently and the soap will fall out.
