    3. Fold the other half of the waxed paper over the top of the shavings like a sandwich. Fold over the three exposed edges of waxed paper so that the crayon wax doesn't seap out.
    4. Place a sheet of white paper or kraft paper over the top of the waxed paper sandwick to protect your iron.
    5. Iron on top of the protective paper at medium heat to melt the crayon wax underneath. Check the waxed paper often to be sure that you melt all of the wax. When you're finished, allow the waxed paper to cool.
    6. Use your heart patterns to trace hearts onto the waxed paper. Cut them out.
    7. Use the thread to string hangers on your suncatchers and hang them where sunlight will be able to shine through!

When I was a little girl in summer camp and had to stay indoors due to rain, we used to do this project all the time. Now I'll be passing along this neat little project to my daughter's Brownie troop to earn their Colors & Shapes Try-It Badge! The troop leader had never heard of it before and thought it was a great idea. I know the girls will love it.
